For Chicago, fashion week has come and gone while the amazing spring preview of apparel has left many speechless. Last Friday on October 19, Style Chicago presented their annual fashion show titled The Art of Fashion which featured 10 local designers and their spring 2013 collections. Borris Powell, Lara Miller, RUCH and Michelle Tan were among the designers showcased at the event. Flocks of people gathered to the fashion tent at Millennium Park on Friday evening. A VIP reception was held prior to the show where guests were able to mingle, take pictures on the red carpet and enjoy some delicious horderves. Not to mention the exclusive goodie bags guests received with an estimated value of $250.

Rain or shine, the show went on as planned and delivered some stunning fresh new looks. Ruffles, nudes, and color blocked ensembles are all on the style watch list for spring 2013 according to these designers. Tangerine orange, an innovative and inspiring color, was displayed in a dazzling bright dress by RUCH. Shalini Styles emphasized the edgy and sophisticated black and white color scheme during the runway show that can be used for a look in the office or even out on the town.
