After about 6 years in the Bucktown area of Chicago, Michelle Tan Boutique is closing its doors on November 25, 2012, and moving to a new location. All the merchandise at the current location will be on sale which is a perfect opportunity to take advantage of for the holidays. Her collection includes a variety of tops, bottoms, dresses, handbags and jackets. The boutique is renowned for its fabulous purses, beautiful garments and ability to let customers know that they are leaving the store with something truly one-of-kind.
Michelle Tan graduated from the International Academy of Design and Technology in 1999, then launched her self-debuted clothing line soon after in 2000. After traveling to Asia quite a bit, Tan sought inspiration for her line from the many fabrics there. Japanese labels like Ming and Serpico are just a few to name.
Tan has received numerous awards and recognitions on behalf of her beautiful designs, including the “Style maker and Rule Breaker” award by the Fashion Group International, as well as the Marshal Field’s “Distinction Award.” She was also a featured designer in the Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion, Marshall Field’s Chicago Designer Shop along with many other fashion shows and events throughout Chicago.
Michelle Tan’s collection is sold internationally and is carried in more than 60 stores. A new Michelle Tan Boutique location is coming soon. Check back with chicagoland directories and www.michelletan.com for updates.
